Reply 1997 (응답하라 1997) Review

This is a review and contains spoilers. Find my Currently Watching article here.

Just like in the beginning, Reply 1997’s charm was its cast, characters and story. Few stories of friends manage to capture me like this drama did. The mystery of Sung Shi Won’s husband’s identity was pretty clear from the beginning.

Despite this predictability the chemistry between the cast and the characters were fun and enjoyable. This drama managed to make me laugh hard, more than I have in a good while.

Like I said in my CW article, I loved the historical aspect of this story. Including H.O.T. and Sechskies in this drama was like a cherry on top of the very delicious cake this drama was. In the end, I hope that Reply 1997 wouldn’t have ended. I want to see more of this group’s memories of the 90s. This drama became one of my favorites.
